Principal's Message

It has been a very busy month of school since the Christmas break.   Classes and academics are in full swing and the focus of what we do at St. Basil School.

It is an exciting time for our Grade 9 students as they attend various High School information Open Houses in our new virtual reality and prepare online applications for the next step of their education.  It seems time waits for no one; weren’t you just registering your child for kindergarten?

February also brings Teachers’ Convention and Family Day, a well-deserved rest for students and families alike to enjoy some more time together.  As a school community, students and staff will celebrate Ash Wednesday virtually with Father Jonathan from St. Peter’s Parish supporting our Catholic Education. Wishing all a wonderful month and stay safe!

A Lenten Prayer

Merciful God, Your forgiveness and love for us is boundless.

Transform our hearts and minds during this Lenten season that we may find our way back to you and bring forth the fruit of continual conversion.

Open our ears to hear your voice in our lives and make us ever more faithful to your commandments. Open our eyes to see more clearly the way of life to which you call us as your sons and daughters. May we live as children of the light, conformed to Christ’s humble service and rich in good works. Through Christ our Lord.
